We are the premier destination for all veterinary care in Ormond Beach
Veterinary services offered at our Ormond Beach clinic.
Pet Vaccinations
Vaccinations are recommended for several preventable and communicable diseases, some of which can be transmitted to people. Our veterinarians will recommend the appropriate vaccinations for your pet’s life stage and lifestyle.
Pet Physical Examinations
Located in Ormond Beach, Florida, the Pet Physical Examinations team at Ormond Beach Family Vet specializes in providing quality care to beloved pets of all shapes and sizes. We understand that having a pet can be a big commitment and so it is our mission to make sure they get the attention they need when under our care.
Cat-Friendly Handling
Our team practices cat-friendly handling techniques to ensure that your cat is comfortable during their visit. These techniques include seeing cats in dedicated “cat” rooms and using equipment for cats that have not been used on dogs. We also incorporate fear-free handling techniques for cats including wrapping them in towels and blankets and using cat pheromones to promote calming. We even offer treats to cats — mini marshmallows are a big hit!
Pet Dentistry
Prophylactic dental cleanings are recommended annually for most pets. By three years of age, most dogs and cats have a significant level of periodontal disease. We are also proud to offer dental radiography and extractions/ oral surgery for your pets. Full mouth dental radiographs are recommended with every dental procedure. These images allow us to visualize diseases below the gumline that otherwise may have been missed.
Pet Nutrition Consultations
Our team is skilled and trained in determining the particular nutritional requirements of each patient. We are able to evaluate your pet and select the best meal for them. We also offer herbal and food therapies for your pet. Call or ask any of our vets for more info!
Pet Palliative & Hospice Care
For our patients in Ormond, FL, Ormond Beach Family Vet provides palliative and hospice care for animals. Symptoms, pain, and stress alleviation are the main goals of palliative care, which does not aim to treat the underlying illness. Patients who are terminally sick and no longer can be treated are given hospice care, which is a sort of palliative care.
